Welcome to the Sixth
Dumfries & Galloway
Wildlife Festival.
This year’s festival is bigger and better than ever with over 50 events on the programme. There are lots of opportunities to visit some of the best wildlife habitats in Dumfries and Galloway and of course to see species such as geese, badgers, salmon and even perhaps an otter! New for 2009 is the Wildlife Art Exhibition at Mersehead featuring top artists, a walk through geological time at Rockcliffe and several talks and walks which celebrate our local tree heritage. Popular activities held again this year include the Wildlife Hospital Open Day, visits to explore the seashore and a whole range of family activities for Easter. So something for everyone to enjoy!
